The Milwaukee flood filled our basement with 4 feet of water, destroying my office, home art studio, and nearly everything else in it, my paintings, my sculptures, nine guitars, two furnaces, two hot water heaters, washers, dryers, computers, family memories and so much more. Our insurance has refused to cover any of it, which means rebuilding falls entirely on us.

A lot of friends have asked how they can help or if we started a GoFundMe. So we did this instead. We’re not usually ones to say yes, but the loss has been overwhelming. We also don’t want to simply ask, we want to give something in return.

So, we’re offering a high-resolution digital download of one of my drawings, a brush-and-ink of Donatello’s David, originally created by hand and later turned into a silkscreen print in my studio. Both the original drawing and the silkscreen were lost in the flood.

You can download the drawing for $3 or whatever amount you’d like. Every penny goes directly toward repairing our home and replacing what we can.

We know many people are facing hardships of their own, and we’re grateful for any support, whether that’s downloading the print or simply sharing this with others.
